Pastor, Worship
Centerville
After receiving his Bachelor and Master degrees in Applied Piano from Boston University and completing his seminary work in theology at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, Glenn pursued a career as a concert pianist and performed with The Boston Pops Orchestra for three seasons. Later, he transitioned to a worship leading role at churches in MA, TN, and NC before joining the staff of Fairhaven in 2003.
Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Glenn lived in the greater Boston area for 32 years before moving to Tennessee. Married to the most fantastic and awesome woman, Debra Jean, for over 28 years, they have two adult children. When not immersed in music, Glenn loves to cook, bird watch, grow orchids, and exercise.
EmailI love the people of this church community. I get to work with and oversee some of the most talented people I have ever known in all my years of service. I consider it a great privilege to be the Worship Pastor of such an amazing place. Fairhaven is a Church that is healthy from the inside out. I believe in our vision to help people “find hope” for their lives, no matter what they may be facing. I am deeply moved by the community life we share, and there is nothing that gives me greater fulfillment than to see people fall in love with God in their worship. I see us willing to step forward to make a difference in our Church and Community. I believe in the strong leadership that comes from our Lead Pastor David Smith, I get to work alongside a great and talented staff and I have a deep respect for the Governing Board. Not only is Fairhaven Church my place of employment, it is where God has called me to serve, it is the place that I grow spiritually and the place of many deep friendships. This is but a few reasons why I work Fairhaven Church.
I have walked with Jesus for 36 years. In the most difficult times of my Journey I have seen God teach me some of the most valuable lessons of my life. I could not imagine life without God….not to mention he is my Savior, my guide, comforter, my future, Lord, and Oh, He is my boss!
“I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.”
“He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.”
“The LORD watches over you—
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.”
“The LORD will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.”
