A woman felt emotionally overwhelmed when she came to a service during our I’m Not OK series. Through the message, she realized she needed more connection in her life. So she joined the group of people going on our upcoming Appalachian mission trip.
A man who attended another one of the services during that series and confessed that he struggled with an addiction, but didn’t want to stay that way. Now, he’s finding hope and healing by attending Celebrate Recovery.
A woman who struggles with feeling insufficient and comparing herself to others attended our summer women’s Bible study, where she finally found peace in the realization that she is who God created her to be, and that’s enough.
A man in the UK who suffers from a chronic illness started watching our Online Campus a few months ago. Now, he’s found new purpose serving as part of our Online Campus serve team, leading others to find hope in Jesus.
These stories are real examples of how God has used all the campuses of Fairhaven Church to change people’s lives this year. And there are many more we could tell.
Last fall, we launched our two-year Echo initiative to prepare to help more people find hope, we said we wanted to echo stories like these farther, louder and longer than ever before. So we came together and pledged $7 million to accomplish a number of goals that will have a huge impact in helping us accomplish that.
On Sunday, August 11, lead pastor David Smith shared an "Echo moment" with a number of updates about the projects that are part of this initiative. Watch the video above to learn more.
