The Life Enrichment Center (LEC) in Dayton partnered with Fairhaven Church for the second year to create a special Christmas store to help families in need this holiday season. As part of their annual Christmas Gift project, attendees of Fairhaven Church helped stock the LEC Christmas Store by filling over 1,000 bins with items such as toys and pajamas, and donating over $17,000 in gift cards.
The store allowed parents and grandparents to enjoy shopping for their children, as well as having their gifts wrapped. One shopper shared, “We’ve had 14 babies come through our home through the foster care system and we’ve adopted seven of them. We couldn’t provide gifts for all of them if this program didn’t exist. Thank you!” And it wasn’t just the shoppers who felt the impact of the program. One volunteer shared, “Serving at the LEC completely changes your view of what it means to fill a bin. It means so much more.”
Thank you for giving generously and volunteering your time to serve at the LEC. Together, we helped 350 families find hope this Christmas season.
