Being a mom is great, but it’s hard work, and it can be especially challenging when your kids are young. Often times it feels like you have more questions than answers. Am I disciplining them correctly? When do I start teaching the ABCs? And why won’t anybody take a nap?
Fairhaven Church wants to help moms take a break, get a little advice and spend some time with other moms, so they’ve created Play Area Luncheons. “The luncheons are an opportunity for moms to come enjoy a free lunch and listen to a relevant parenting talk while we care for their children,” said Kelly Carraher, Director of Women’s Ministries. “We want to come alongside moms as they walk through this fun and challenging time.”
Each month, a different parenting topic will be discussed, beginning with Diapers, Tantrums & Pacifiers, Oh My! on Monday February 27 at 12:00 PM. Additional luncheons will be held on March 20 and April 24. The luncheons will be held at the Play Area at Fairhaven’s Centerville Campus, and childcare will be provided. Space is limited. The play area at the Centerville Campus, for children ages 6 & under, is open to the public Monday-Friday from 12:00-4:00 PM.
