FAQs

Why do Echo now?

We’re always looking for new and better ways to help people find hope in Jesus, and after prayerful consideration, these are the next right steps we believe God is asking us to take to prepare for the amazing things He’ll do in the future.

What if we don’t meet the goal? Will we go into debt?

We’re committed to responding to the resources God provides us in a way that’s appropriate, healthy and wise. We will not add any unhealthy debt as a result of Echo.

Is this part of my regular giving? What are other ways to give?

Giving to Echo is separate from your regular giving to Fairhaven Church. It’s an opportunity to trust God and take the next right step in your generosity. To give things like stocks or possessions, contact your campus office.

How long is my commitment?

Echo is a two-year initiative, which will run through December 2020. We encourage you to fulfill your commitment with gifts of whatever size and frequency make the most sense for you within that time frame.

What if I’m new or have never given?

Generosity is all about taking the next right step, so if you’ve never given before, Echo is a great place to start. We believe there’s no more significant mission than helping people find hope in Jesus, and we invite everyone to live it out with us.

Why fill out a commitment card?

The card is a place for you to meet with God and consider how He might use you to help more people find hope. It’s more than just a number; it’s a symbol of your commitment to what God is doing in your life and in the lives of others.

How does Echo impact our commitment to outreach?

We partner with a number of local organizations serving under-served people in our area, as well as dozens of global staff sharing the gospel around the world. Echo will enable us to increase and expand these partnerships.

Why launch another campus?

We believe the best way to reach the Dayton area and its surrounding communities is to enable people to attend church – and invite their friends and neighbors to church – in their own community. We want Fairhaven to be a community church, not a commuter church.

Where will the Springboro Campus be?

We want to move further into the heart of Springboro and transform an existing facility into our permanent Springboro Campus. We’re working with a commercial realtor to identify and pursue potential spaces. Pray with us as we ask God to lead us to the right location.

Will any of these upgrades disrupt our services?

We may experience some inconveniences that affect our worship services, but we’ll do everything we can to minimize them. We like to think of disruptions as reminders of the exciting work God is doing among us.

What does a resident do?

Residents serve on our staff while completing coursework for an accredited masters-level ministry degree. The education, hands-on ministry experience, personal mentoring and leadership training they receive help prepare them for a lifetime of impactful ministry.
