DivorceCare for Kids

This program is for children, ages 5-12, of people attending DivorceCare and takes place at the same time. Parents, register your children for DivorceCare For Kids when you register yourself for DivorceCare. Workbook is $15. Financial assistance is available. Childcare for younger children is available with a childcare pass. Childcare, ages birth-4, is available with advance registration and Family Childcare Fee (see Register page for details). Nursery scholarships are also available.

New Creation Counseling Center has a staff of licensed counselors, all of whom have a strong personal faith in Jesus Christ and apply Christian principles in helping clients deal with personal, interpersonal and family issues. Fairhaven Church recommends New Creation Counseling Center as its primary referral agency for professional, Christian counseling. During specified hours each week, New Creation counselors are available in Fairhaven’s facilities in Centerville.

Our Benevolent Fund assists people in our church family with emergency financial needs. To be eligible, you must be a member or regular attendee of Fairhaven Church and complete an application available at the Welcome Center. Once your application is reviewed by our pastoral staff, you will be contacted with a decision. Cash assistance is not provided.

At Fairhaven, we believe that marriage is more than a ceremony, it’s a life-long commitment. Our Marriage Ministry wants to come alongside each couple from the beginning and throughout their marriage. We are committed to encouraging strong, healthy, and fulfilling marriages that are founded on Biblical principles. We offer SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before it Starts) as a tool and curriculum for pre-marital relationships, and for those who are already married and want to enhance their relationship. Marriage Ministry also offers Marriage Checkups during the year for couples.

A Stephen Minister can meet with you -privately and confidentially- on a weekly basis to listen, care, encourage, support and remind you of Christ’s presence in your life. Stephen Ministers are members of Fairhaven and have received 50 hours of caregiving-training to minister to people experiencing a crisis, or going through a tough time, such as loss of a loved one, divorce, family crisis, or other difficulty.
The next Stephen Ministry training will begin in September 2021.
